SAMSON USA, headquartered in Baytown, Texas, produces high quality control valves and accessories for process industries globally. SAMSON provides innovative solutions that help customers push the boundary of their applications while minimizing their total cost of ownership. This requires SAMSON to push the limits of design, tolerances, and manufacturing methods. SAMSON has recently completed the installation of a Flexible Manufacturing System consisting of 2 Horizontal Machining Centers and a 24-pallet robotic loading system built by MCM of Italy. The system provides a significant increase in SAMSON’s manufacturing capacity while also allowing for short lead times through batch size reduction and lights out operation. System rigidity allows for tolerances of better than 20 microns in a production environment ensuring quality for customers today and in the future.
